THE FINAL COUNTDOWN.................

GUESS FREAKING WHAT?!?!?!? ........... no don't it will take way to long.... Adam will be completely done with this horrible disease that has been with our family for the last three years, in less than 100 days!!! thank you for all of you who have supported our family both emotionally and physically!! we love you all!!

Long-overdue Update

Hope is at her first girl's camp so mom is writing for her today :)
Adam's numbers keep going all over the place, so maintenance chemo is not as routine as it should be, because his body doesn't want to tolerate the medications. Right now numbers are good so we've been able to swim and he's learning a few swimming skills just by playing in the pool. He will start a new round of chemo next week-drugs that he gets independent of his counts. The main concern is his liver. It looked great last week, but had been stressed alot before that, so his hair is falling out in places again due to the stress. They will test it on Monday to see if he's clear for his maintenance drugs on Wednesday. We are grateful he takes it so well, he doesn't ever complain about all the pokes and clinic visits. I was a little worried that this "happy attitude" might be a coping mechanism, but since he still knows how to argue with his brother, I'd say he's balanced out ;)
Hopefully his counts will be good Monday and will stay stabalized so we can just enjoy summer activities and he can start Kindergarten in the fall. He needs to have a normal life, and not have it dictated by cancer. But, God knows what He's doing and I trust Him. Whatever comes, we can handle it, because we have been so promised.
P.S. sorry this blog hasn't been updated more. My sister and I usually update his fb page because it's easier to do from the clinic and hospital on our phones.

Adam Fun

Dear readers,

   You are probably wondering why I haven't been writing in a loooooooong time. Some of the information I have on my plate right now is half good news, and the other half is bad news. On January 9th, my sweet dog Abby died. And the next day was my b-day. On my b-day Adam had to go to the hospital. I was so sad!!! Yesterday however, was a good day though. Adam got us in part of an organization a long time ago. The organization is called HopeKids. Well yesterday we went with the HopeKids to a place called Bumble Bee Ranch. Adam had such a good time it brings tears to my eyes to see him so happy, and loved by Miss Bridget {the organizer of the HopeKids events.}

  

   Well let's get back on subject, there are tons of things to do there. First there's rock wall climbing, riding horses, and many other things. Anyway Adam was so good. He got to ride two horses their names were Buckey, and Pinecone or something like that. He had nothing for lunch though. On the way home I sat by him, in the car. I had brought my ipod with me, so we watched videos on the way home, and before you know it zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz he fell asleep. When we got home, he woke up. Hope and I were discussing and thinking over going to the church and riding bikes. Hope, Ammon, and I were just leaving when Adam said he wanted to come, but he doesn't have a bike. So my dad got him a redbox movie just for him. He chose Spy Kids 4 All the time in the World. Gee I better go for now. Bye!

News!!!!!

hello everybody sorry I'm not on all the time but I don't have all the time in the world as the new spy kids do just got back a lot smarter than I was at least a week ago when I went on my trip to Utah. I drove up there with my aunt  and uncle and my two cousins then I flew down after some quality time with my friend who has been my longest non-family-friend. We have been friends since we were two and then she moved right after our second year of kindergarden. So on Tuesday evening at 4:56 I landed safely after seeing the very dirty SALT LAKE, the GRAND CANYON, and all the little cars and buildings that looked so TINY!!!!!!!!! so lots of love from Hope I wish you all a good day today tomorrow or whenever you read this goodbye!!!!!
